Areas Of Study / Concentration:
- Installation Art: Created several room sized installations using unfired clay and sonic arts at New York State College of Ceramics and Cranbrook Academy of Art. Installation at BFA Exhibition received divisional honors in 1999. Assisted Walter McConnell in construction of an installation sponsored by Helen Drutt Gallery for the S.O.F.A. Exhibition at Navy Pier in Chicago in Fall 2001.
- Ceramic Art (major area of study): Completed courses in hand building, ceramic sculpture, glaze calculation, Raw materials (creation of clay bodies), kiln building, and wheel throwing. Ceramic sculpture courses included mold making and firing of gas and electric kilns.
- Art History (minor area of study): Completed courses in history of ceramics, history of sculpture, history of video, and philosophy of art. Major area of interest: Moche ceramics of Peru.
- Other areas of study: Sculpture, figure sculpture, figure drawing, printmaking, photography and sonic arts.

- 2004 Fall, Ceramics Instructor, Sabbatical Replacement, duties include teaching Ceramics I, Ceramics II, Design II, SP, and Independent studies, and running ceramics studio. Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois.
- 2003 Fall, Ceramics Instructor, Soda Firing Class, Evanston Art Center, duties include developing glazes, and teaching firing, loading, and kiln maintenance.

- 2003-4 Kiln Building, Evanston Art Center, duties include designing and building down draught gas kiln.
- 2002-2004 Studio Assistant, Evanston Art Center, Ceramics Department, Evanston, Illinois. Duties include mixing glazes, and firing gas kilns, in trade for studio space and materials.Other projects included: repiaring eletric kilns, converting an old electric kiln to a gas fired raku kiln, dismantling and salvaging parts from an old up draft kiln, developing and instituting a new soda firing, and helping organize and implement significant fund raising projects.
- 2003 Spring, Ceramics Instructor, Highland Park, Suburban Fine Art Center, duties include teaching wheel throwing and hand building.
- 2002 Winter, Spring Ceramic Instructor, Wilmette Park District, duties include teaching wheel throwing, hand building, and multi media art classes to a variety of age groups, and firing of kilns weekly.

- 2001 Fall, Teachers Assistant, After School Recreation Program, Wilmette Park District, duties include preparation of lesson plans for other art teachers and teaching art to small groups of students four days a week. Substitute Teacher for preschool.
- 1993-1995 Art Assistant, Interlochen Arts Academy, responsibilities included scheduling gallery guards, mixing clay, spackling pedestals, and aiding in preparation for shows.
- 1995 Summer, Freelance Photographer, documented hurricane damage to motel for law firm (Vandevender, Black, Meredith and Martin) Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
- 1994 Summer, Gallery Intern, Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery, duties included organizing, installing, and co-hosting exhibitions, cutting mats, and assisting with collograph demonstrations.
